Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
HA Remote ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled when you use the HA Remote iOS application.
1. Data Collection and Storage
HA Remote is designed as a localized companion client for Home Assistant. We do not operate any external backends or cloud storage:
- Local Connection: All data, configurations, tokens, and telemetry events are communicated directly between your iOS device and your self-hosted Home Assistant server.
- No Third-Party Uploads: Your Home Assistant base URLs, login tokens, credentials, and entity history are never uploaded to our servers, nor are they shared with any third parties.
- Keychain Security: Critical connection tokens are stored securely in the iOS System Keychain.
2. Location Data & Geofences
If you opt-in to use the Geofence Scene Trigger feature:
- Your location is evaluated entirely on-device by iOS CoreLocation to calculate distances to your configured home zones.
- No location history or geographic coordinates are collected, logged externally, or transmitted to us.
3. In-App Purchases
All in-app purchases and subscriptions are handled securely by Apple StoreKit. We do not collect or store credit card details or financial transaction identifiers.
4. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
